The round dome body is a work of pure goldsmith mastery — its entire surface covered in an intricate diamond grid texture in warm antique gold, every square of the lattice catching the light differently, creating a surface that glows like woven gold cloth. The generous circular interior is spacious and gold-lined, perfect for kumkum, sindoor, haldi or sacred turmeric.
The lid is the true masterwork. At the crown, three oval ruby red cabochons are set in an arc like a sacred tiara, flanked by delicate gold floral scrollwork. The central scene of the lid features twin royal elephants facing each other across a central lotus motif, their trunks raised in the auspicious position, surrounded by sweeping floral vines and sacred motifs in deep nakshi relief. Flanking the scene on either side, teardrop kundan diamonds catch the light with their characteristic polki brilliance.
